Formed in 2009, the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) is a voluntary organization of global sovereign wealth funds committed to working together and strengthening the community through dialogue, research and self-assessment.
IFSWF has 40 members that endorse its 24 generally accepted principles and practices, the Santiago Principles. Santiago Principles are principles and practices that promote transparency, good governance, accountability and prudent investment practices whilst encouraging a more open dialogue and deeper understanding of SWF activities.
Ithmar joined IFSWF on August 11, 2015, following the approval of its application for membership by the Executive Board. Ever since, Ithmar Capital has been contributing and taking part in all the various discussions, work and events. As an active member, Ithmar organized the 10th edition of the IFSWF Annual Meeting in 2018, in Marrakesh. This annual conference was held for the first time in the African continent under the theme « Governance, Investment and Innovation in a Changing World ».
