Formed in 2009, the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) is a voluntary organization of global sovereign wealth funds committed to working together and strengthening the community through dialogue, research and self-assessment.

IFSWF has 40 members that endorse its 24 generally accepted principles and practices,  the Santiago Principles. Santiago Principles are principles and practices that promote transparency, good governance, accountability and prudent investment practices whilst encouraging a more open dialogue and deeper understanding of SWF activities.
